Thanks to aunt Brigett for watching Cooper Monday so I could go to my dentist appointment! And also on the past Friday so I could get my run in before going out of town. Cooper loves to spend time with his aunt and simply tells me bye when I leave :-) I was telling brig about the hat turned sideways so he just had to show her in person. Still makes me laugh :-)
There is so much more to cheer than just the competitions. As we all know from playing sports growing up how many life lessons, team work, friendships, role modeling, goals, sportsmanship, skills, exercise, health and so forth are all experiences Chloe is having through out her cheer season. And as you can imagine, Chloe makes friends of all ages. And her special friend Aaryn,a freshman in high school, gave her a cheer bow key ring on the last day of competition. How sweet is that?! Chloe was so excited and genuinely thankful for the gift and for the friendship Aaryn has shared with her this season as am I.
The kids slept for most of the car ride home on Sunday. Then the sillies kicked in. I think it's the funniest thing when Cooper puts his hat on sideways :-)
The girls did a good job and like always we have so much fun watching them and supporting Chloe. The team placed 6/6.
Thank you so much to gramma and papa for making the trip and spending the weekend with us! It means the world to us to have all your support, love and time.
The kids absolutely LOVE spending the night in hotels and swimming :-) I still can remember that same childhood feeling and I enjoy recreating that with them.
The swam Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night :-) they had fun swimming with their friends, me, daddy and gramma!
We enjoyed a very fancy, by accident, lunch out on Saturday! Papa even knew that it was famous for having it's own cooking show, lol! Next time I'm going back on a date night and enjoying a bottle of wine with my meal:-) Thanks so much gramma and papa for the special treat!!!
